The Vikings have put more eggs into McCarthy's basket, and he may still be more likely to be the long-term quarterback in Minnesota than Murray. The Vikings need Murray for 2026 because their roster is too talented to falter again simply due to bad QB play. But there is still room for McCarthy in this picture.
