However, a hyped third-round pick when he joined the team, Sanders has done next to nothing in three seasons because he has spent a majority of that time on injured reserve with multiple different injuries. A strong 2026 season could get him off this list, but there's just as good a chance that he won't even be make the team this coming year. 4. K.J. Hamler, WR, Penn State: 2nd round, 2020 The Broncos selected Jerry Jeudy, a wide receiver, in the first round of the 2020 draft, and then left everyone scratching their heads when they picked another one in the very next round. It was not a criticized move at that time, but when Hamler couldn't stay healthy and was highly ineffective when he was available, it didn't take long to realize it was a bad pick. Hamler caught a total of 42 pa ses in three seasons for the Broncos. He's currently a member of the Orlando Storm of the UFL, trying to keep his playing career alive. 3. Brendan Langley, CB, Lamar: 3rd round, 2017 The Broncos tried to find Dakota Mathias Jersey a diamond in the rough by taking Lamar cornerback Brendan Langley in 2017, but he never came close to being valuable to the team. The Broncos tried to convert him to wide receiver after two failed seasons as a defensive back, but he was waived that summer. Langley is remembered more for than anything he ever did on the field. 2. Carlos Henderson, WR, Louisiana Tech: 3rd round, 2017 It seemed like the Broncos were adding a tremendous offensive weapon when they selected Carlos Henderson in 2017; instead, he never played a single down for the team. He never played a single down in the NFL, for that matter. Henderson's rookie season was cut short after tearing a ligament in his thumb, which required surgery and landed him on injured reserve. The next season, he failed to report to the team as he was reportedly dealing with a personal matter. Soon after, he was suspended for one game for violating the league's substance abuse policy. That September, the Broncos chose to cut ties with him. Washington signed him to a future contract, but he never played for them either. 1. Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis: 1st round, 2016 This list only goes back 10 years, but you could go back to the founding of the team and you won't find a worse draft pick than Paxton Lynch. He was simply terrible. After winning Super Bowl 50, Peyton Manning retired. General manager John Elway saw a 6-foot-7 prospect who threw the ball all over the place at Memphis and traded up in the draft to get him. Lynch only made four starts for the team, throwing four touchdown pa ses and four interceptions.
