Every year, the NFL's Pro Bowl Games are just a bit different. That holds true in 2026. This year's event will be more connected to the Super Bowl, as it will be held just a few miles away from the big game. Still, however, top players are set to compete in a flag football game. Of course, as some incentive for players, money will be on the line for the game's biggest stars in the flag football matchup. The winners will make significantly more than the losers. Here's what to know about the financial benefits on the line in the 2026 Pro Bowl. MORE: How much money do the 2026 Pro Bowl winners get? In the 2020 NFL season, the NFL and the NFL Player's A sociation agreed on a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and one of the agreed-upon principles outlined how players would be compensated for Pro Bowl appearances through the 2030 NFL season. Pro Bowl payments increase each year of the CBA, providing players with more of a reason to participate. At last year's Pro Bowl following the 2024 season, the winning players received $92,000, while the losers got $46,000. Now, after the 2025 season, the winners of the Pro Bowl Games are set to receive $96,000, while the losers will still receive $48,000. Those totals are set to increase every year until the 2030 season, when winners get $116,000 and losers get $58,000. Do Pro Bowlers receive a prize for winning skills competitions? When the CBA was signed in 2020, the Pro Bowl was still primarily headlined around the full-field, fully-padded matchup between the AFC and NFC. There were some skills competitions at the time, but they were not as significant. As a result, it unofficially appears that Pro Bowlers are paid for winning skills competitions. The NFL has not officially said that the winners of competitions are unpaid, but considered it is not specified in the CBA, it is unlikely. Pro Bowl prize money history The prize money for the Ha-seong Kim Jersey Pro Bowl grows every year, thanks to the designs of the active CBA. However, in years past, players would go several years without seeing a pay increase for their participation. In 1971, Pro Bowl winners were paid $2,000 for their efforts. That total remained until 1978, when it jumped to $5,000. Now, the prize money has over doubled since 2011, when the victors were paid $45,000. Below is a look at the history of Pro Bowl prize money.
