Not every Diamond Dynasty lineup needs another power hitter. Sometimes, a player who can make consistent contact, cover plenty of ground, and deliver reliable defense is a better addition. That is where 99 OVR Ceddanne Rafaela comes in. The Boston Red Sox center fielder arrived in MLB The Show 26 through 2026 Finest Program #1 on November 3, bringing an impressive combination of hitting, speed, and defensive ability. For players looking to improve their squad, he is a reward worth pursuing. You can also plan your future roster upgrades around your available MLB Stubs.

Ceddanne Rafaela's 99 OVR Attributes

Rafaela's biggest strength is his ability to make contact against both right-handed and left-handed pitchers. His hitting attributes give him a consistent offensive profile without relying entirely on home runs.

Here are his key ratings:

• Contact vs. RHP: 122
• Contact vs. LHP: 118
• Power vs. RHP: 92
• Power vs. LHP: 98
• Vision: 110
• Clutch: 125
• Speed: 95
• Discipline: 52

The 122 Contact against right-handed pitching and 118 against lefties make him a useful everyday option. His power is not at the same level as dedicated sluggers, but 92 and 98 are respectable numbers that give him some extra-base potential.

His 125 Clutch is another major advantage, particularly when you need a timely hit with runners in scoring position. If you are planning to buy MLB Stubs for additional lineup changes, consider whether a contact-focused hitter like Rafaela would balance your existing power-heavy roster.

Elite Defense and Positional Flexibility

Rafaela's defensive ratings are arguably the most impressive part of his card. His combination of fielding, arm strength, and speed makes him a strong option for protecting the outfield.

His defensive highlights include:

• Primary Position: Center Field
• Secondary Positions: Second Base and Shortstop
• Fielding: 99
• Arm Strength: 99
• Arm Accuracy: 96
• Speed: 95

Center field is his natural home, where his speed helps him cover gaps and chase down difficult fly balls. His secondary eligibility at second base and shortstop also gives players more freedom when arranging their defensive lineup.

There are two limitations worth considering. His 42 Stealing means his speed does not automatically translate into an elite base-stealing threat, while 52 Discipline makes pitch selection particularly important. Use his speed to create pressure on the defense, but avoid taking unnecessary risks on the basepaths.

Which Quirks Make Rafaela Interesting?

Rafaela comes with seven quirks that complement his contact-oriented playstyle. Some notable ones include:

• First-Pitch Hitter: Provides a situational hitting advantage when attacking early in the count.
• Breaking Ball Hitter: Supports his performance against breaking pitches.
• Unfazed: Offers an advantage when hitting with two strikes.
• Bad Ball Hitter: Helps with hitting pitches outside the ideal strike zone.
• Situational Hitter: Adds another situational benefit.

Homebody and Day Player round out his quirks. Together, these traits give him several useful advantages across different game situations.

Is Rafaela Worth Adding to Your Lineup?

For players who want better outfield defense without giving up offensive production, Rafaela is an excellent target. His 122 Contact against right-handed pitching, 125 Clutch, and 99 Fielding give him a useful combination that fits several lineup styles.

He is not a traditional home-run hitter, and his low Discipline and Stealing ratings require some adjustments. However, his positional flexibility and defensive consistency make those weaknesses easier to manage.

The 60-point unlock requirement also makes him an accessible reward in Finest Program #1. Whether you need a new center fielder or simply want a different type of offensive contributor, Rafaela deserves a place on your shortlist.
