Arc Raiders Guide: Loadouts & Combat Tips, Routes & Best Bombardier Farms
Bombardier Cells are spawned in Arc Raiders. Which weapons should I bring? How to loot in a safe manner? This guide contains all the answers about arc raiders items for sale.
Bombardier Cells, among other items, are highly sought after in Arc Raiders. You won't upgrade your base without these precious resources. What should you do when you've defeated them and where can you find Elite Bombardier-ARCs? You'll learn everything in our comprehensive guide.
Bombardier Cells and Why They Matter arc raiders coins
Bombardier Cells can only be obtained from the Elite ARC of the same title. These precious resources are vital for upgrading your refining to level 3.
Upgrade your system by:
6x Bombardier Cells
3x Motor
10x ARC Circuitry
You will not be able to progress further in Arc Raiders if you do not have these cells. If you are not currently using the cells to upgrade your refinery, you have two options: you can either sell them at 5,000 credits each or recycle them in 2x ARC alloys and 2x advanced mechanical components per cell.
Bombardiers are spawned in specific locations.
In theory, bombardiers should spawn anywhere on the map. But in practice, this is not always true. The Blue Gate, Buried city and The Blue Gate are your best bets. These are the main spawn locations.
Buried City: Your first choice
Buried City offers the highest Bombardier spawn rate in the entire game. Check out these spots before you go anywhere else:
Marano Park, the single most popular spawn point. It's almost certain that you will run into Bombardier players here. There is little cover in this park, so you'll need to plan your escape routes.
Plaza Rosa Houses and Santa Maria Houses can also be used as spawning locations. You can find plenty of cover in the surrounding apartment blocks.
Bombardiers are less likely to visit the exterior of the hospital, but its layout makes it tactically intriguing.
Parking garages (upper level). If you see a Bombardier here, it is possible to eliminate it with extra efficiency if you know the right techniques.
Blue Gate - a solid alternative
Bombardiers can also be found regularly at The Blue Gate. The terrain, however, is more open.
Raider's Refuge, located in the forest, is a well-covered area that has a medium amount of cover. Watch out for other gamers.
Warehouses in the Industrial Zone provide good hiding places between buildings.
Bombardiers can be spawned in a fortified region at the checkpoint. This is convenient, but it's also often heavily contested.
Although the ruins at the edge of the cliff offer great advantages in terms of high-ground, they are harder to reach.
Spaceport - Medium odds
Bombardiers appear less frequently at Spaceport than Buried City.
A potential spawn point can be found between the buildings in the area of the West Elevator. This locati0n also offers good cover.
Shipping Yard's exterior is very exposed. Other players will find you vulnerable.
Dam Battlegrounds: Rare but possible
Bombardiers can occasionally spawn to the north of the Hydroponic Dome. This is the map that has the lowest Elite-ARC spawn rate.
Our tip is to focus on Buried City. Especially Marano Park or Plaza Rosa. The best odds are found there, and you can easily rotate between multiple spawns.
The right loadout requires careful preparation
Bombardiers are not just any ARC. They're one of most dangerous enemies you will face in the game. It's possible to take down the Bombardier alone with the right gear. You'll need the following gear:
Weapons: armor penetration is not negotiable
Bombardiers have heavy armor. Weapons that cannot penetrate solid ARC armor will only barely scratch the surface of their health. Prioritize the following options:
Hullcracker, if you have the budget for it, is the best option. It has the highest armor penetration of any weapon in the game, and can tear through Bombardier armor. It can be purchased from Tian Wen at 15,000 Credits a day (maximum one unit per person per day). You can also craft it using the blueprint if you already have it.
Ferro is an affordable option. The Ferro is a weapon that can be made at a workbench or smithy. It has good penetration. The Bombardier can be taken down with 160 Heavy Ammo rounds on weak spot hits.
The Anvil offers a nice middle ground. Tian Wen can sell three Anvils per day, each for 15,000 credits. It has six rounds as opposed to the Ferro's one shot. This makes it more versatile.
Rattler and Bettina also work, but are less effective than the other weapons.
At the workbench, you can make Heavy Ammo using metals and chemicals.
Explosives: your most important tool
Grenades are essential in Bombardier combat. Due to their large hitbox and slow movement, they are very vulnerable to explosives. Bring at least 6 grenades.
Wolfpack grenades have been designed to deal with ARC units. They are devastating. One or two Wolfpacks placed well can kill an entire Bombardier.
Trigger grenades can be precise and very powerful. You can unlock the recipe by completing the "Sparks Fly quest". You place them manually first.
Blaze grenades cause area damage to the Bombardier and ignite its weak spots. It is often caught in the flames and takes continuous damage.
Snap grenades have a lower damage output but are still easier to throw. A powerful all-rounder.
We recommend combining 1-2 Wolfpacks along with 3-4 Snap or Trigger grenades. It's enough to weaken the Bombardier for you to switch to your main weapon.
Healing and support for the fight
Bombardier projectiles are accurate and hard hitting. You will lose your run quickly if there is not enough healing. Pack the following items:
The 10x shield rechargers will be your first line. Bombardiers can destroy shields in one hit. Make sure you have plenty of backups.
10x Bandages (or 6x Sterilized Bandages) keep your health up. Vita Shots also work, but are more expensive.
The Adrenaline shots will fully restore your stamina, and temporarily boost regeneration. Perfect for when you need extra dodge rolls or to leave cover.
3x Smoke Grenades are necessary for looting. Smoke keeps you safe while you search the entire area.
Gear: the right shield and augment
Looting MK.2 add-on is a necessity if you already own it. You get two safe pockets, each of which can store a stack three Bombardier Cells. That's six total. You won't be able to lose your items in these pockets if die before extracting.
Use a shield that is at least medium. Medium shields can survive two to three Bombardier hits, while light ones only take one. The Tactical MK.2 enhance is also useful: it automatically launches a smoke grenade if your shield breaks.
Solo players should start the raid with at least two Wolfpacks. They should only be taken out when you are actually fighting a Bombardier. So you don't lose your items if you die early in the run.
